Job summary

Akumin is seeking an X-Ray Technologist for our Royal Palm facility. This PRN position supports our outpatient imaging services, delivering high-quality diagnostic images and compassionate patient care.

The role requires ARRT licensure, CPR/BLS, and ability to work across multiple locations. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential to ensure patient comfort, safety, and accurate image acquisition.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• ARRT (R) license, if applicable.
• CPR Certification, BLS from AHA or ARC.
• ACLS where applicable.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational, multi-tasking, and critical thinking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Administer ionizing radiation to obtain diagnostic exams as ordered by the physician.
• Demonstrate competency with differing X-ray equipment.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
• Maintain quality levels meeting or exceeding expectations through teamwork.
• Use communications channels to address concerns and resolve conflicts.
• Protect patient confidentiality in line with HIPAA.
• Train and orient new staff as needed.
• Complete annual and site-specific training and competencies.
