Job summary

MedStar Health in Owings Mills, MD is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist I to perform routine and specialized sonographic procedures under general supervision. Weekend day and/or weekend night shifts are required.

You will screen patients, educate them, document exams, ensure infection control, maintain equipment, and transfer images to PACS for interpretation. ARDMS registry eligibility and an associate degree are preferred; entry-level candidates may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be registry eligible in ultrasound (Required)
• Associates degree preferred
• No prior work experience required

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams for patients of all ages with accurate imaging and proper technique.
• Educate and prepare patients for procedures; document exams and coordinate care with providers and families.
• Maintain a safe, clean clinical environment; follow infection prevention standards and sterilization protocols.
• Monitor equipment and supplies; perform quality control and report issues.
• Ensure timely image documentation and transfer to PACS for interpretation and quality improvement.
