Job summary

Glengariff Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in New York is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The candidate should be licensed in NY, capable of independent evaluation and treatment, and committed to geriatric care.

You will perform assessments, initiate therapies, document daily activity, and participate in IDT meetings. Weekend coverage required (Saturday and Sunday). Salary ranges $45–$55 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the practice state; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and initiate therapies.
• Complete bedside treatments and maintain patient records.
• Document daily, weekly, monthly activities and audits.
• Attend IDT meetings and participate in patient care planning.
• Follow facility procedures and manage caseloads.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements Respiratory technique to maintain or rehab patient with many different Respiratory illness/diseases.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Schedule

• We are looking for a consistent weekend RT for:
  • 4- 8 Hours depending on caseload
  • EVERY Saturday and Sunday Coverage

Salary: $45 - $55 an hour
