Job summary

CareRite Centers, LLC in Yonkers, NY seeks a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a skilled nursing team. The RT will evaluate and treat geriatric residents, perform therapies independently, and manage respiratory care with required licenses in the state of practice.

Responsibilities include bedside treatments, patient record-keeping, and participation in IDT meetings, with weekend shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. Licensure in state and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implements respiratory techniques for rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and complete in-services for nursing staff.
• Document daily, weekly and monthly activities and attend IDT meetings.
• Work with residents including those with tracheotomies in long-term care.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Salary $ 35 to $45 an hour
