Job summary

CareRite Centers, LLC seeks a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our Skilled Nursing facility in East Hauppauge, NY. The candidate should be passionate about geriatric care, licensed in the practice state, and able to evaluate and treat independently.

The role includes Saturday and Sunday coverage, initiating therapies, documenting care, bedside treatments, and attending IDT meetings. Tracheostomy experience and LTC exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the practicing state; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory therapy to manage or rehab patients with various respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments as needed.
• Conduct in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheostomy care.
• Experience in a long-term care setting.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Perform tracking, auditing and caseload management.
• Performs related duties as required.

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements Respiratory technique to maintain or rehab patient with many different Respiratory illness/diseases.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Salary: $48 to $52 an hour
