Job summary

Glengariff Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric-focused team in a Skilled Nursing facility. The RT will assess, treat, and document patient progress, perform bedside respiratory therapies, and participate in IDT meetings with a focus on resident comfort and quality of care.

The ideal candidate holds an RRT or CRT license, COARC-accredited education, BLS certification, and experience in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain or rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Complete bedside treatments as part of routine care.
• Attend quarterly in-services for nursing staff.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Experience in long-term care settings.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Manage tracking, auditing and caseloads.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements Respiratory technique to maintain or rehab patient with many different Respiratory illness/diseases.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Schedule

• We are looking for a consistent weekend RT for:
  • 4- 8 Hours depending on caseload
  • EVERY Saturday and Sunday Coverage

Salary: $45 - $55 an hour
