University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a PRN Vascular & Thoracic Nurse Practitioner to support the Heart & Vascular Institute. Work with a multidisciplinary team in inpatient vascular and thoracic surgical care, with opportunities to cross-cover other APP-led services as needed.

The APP will be trained to cover all aspects of the vascular/thoracic service, with privilege-based bedside procedures and a focus on patient-centered care in a high-quality, safety-driven environment.

Formación

• BSN and graduation from an accredited ACNP/AGACNP program.
• Maryland NP license (or eligibility) and national certification.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Eligible for credentialing through UM Capital Region Health.
• One year of vascular/thoracic/inpatient surgical experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and daily rounds with treatment plans.
• Evaluate and manage vascular and thoracic surgical patients inpatient.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies and communicate results.
• Provide care in collaboration with surgeons and nursing staff.
• Assist in the operating room when credentialed and indicated.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation in the EMR.
• Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Participate in APP and institute meetings and mentorship activities.
