Job summary

CareNow Urgent Care - San Antonio Market is seeking a PRN, board-certified physician assistant or nurse practitioner to float among our San Antonio locations.

You will provide care for patients aged three months and up, perform common procedures including I&D and suturing, and work independently without hospital rounds or ER duties.

Flexible schedule with weekend shifts; outpatient-focused care with strong patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Board-certified physician assistant or nurse practitioner.
• Must hold Texas license and DEA.
• Experience performing first reads on X-rays and minor procedures (I&D, suturing).

Responsibilities

• Float among CareNow locations in San Antonio, TX to cover PRN shifts.
• Provide care for pediatric and adult patients, including acute illnesses or injuries.
• Deliver outpatient care with no hospital rounds or ER duties.

Qualified Candidates:

• PRN Schedule is as follows:4 weekend day shifts per month
• Comfortable seeing ages three months and up
• Must have the ability to work independently
• Board certified
• Has a Texas state medical licensure and DEA
• Ability to perform first reads on x-rays
• Skills to perform patient treatment procedures for most acute illnesses or injuries to include pediatric and adult care; I&DS; suturing, etc.
