Job summary

CareNow Urgent Care is seeking a part-time, board-certified physician assistant or nurse practitioner to work at our New Braunfels Frontage Road clinic in San Antonio, Texas.

The role is outpatient only with no hospital rounds or ER call. You will provide urgent care and primary care services to patients from 3 months and up, with evening and some weekend shifts, and you must be comfortable working independently with Texas licensure and DEA.

Qualifications

• Part-time schedule: two weekday evenings (4pm–11pm) and 2–4 weekend days per month.
• Comfortable seeing patients ages 3 months and up.
• Able to work independently.
• Board certified; Texas medical licensure and DEA.
• Ability to perform first reads on x-rays.
• Procedures for acute illnesses/injuries (I&D, suturing).

Qualified Candidates

• Part-Time schedule is as follows: Two weekday evening shifts (4pm - 11pm); two to four weekend day shifts per month
• Comfortable seeing ages three months and up
• Must have the ability to work independently
• Board certified
• Has a Texas state medical licensure and DEA
• Ability to perform first reads on x-rays
• Skills to perform patient treatment procedures for most acute illnesses or injuries to include pediatric and adult care; I&D's; suturing, etc.
