Job summary

CareNow Urgent Care in Nacogdoches, TX, is seeking a PRN board-certified physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join the clinic. The role requires seeing patients aged 3 months and up and working independently in an outpatient urgent care setting.

Candidate must hold Texas state medical licensure and DEA, and be able to perform first reads on x-rays as well as procedures for acute illnesses or injuries, including I&Ds and suturing. Flexible hours and competitive compensation are offered.

Qualifications

• PRN schedule with a minimum of 2–4 shifts per month.
• Able to see patients age 3 months and older.
• Ability to work independently.
• Board-certified physician assistant or nurse practitioner.
• Texas state licensure and DEA registration.
• Ability to perform first reads on x-rays.
• Skills to treat acute illnesses or injuries including pediatric and adult care, I&Ds and suturing.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care for patients in a PRN capacity at the Nacogdoches clinic.
• Care for pediatric and adult patients in a fast-paced setting.
• Perform procedures such as I&Ds and suturing as needed.
