Job summary

The Baylor Scott & White Health Marble Falls Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist on a PRN schedule to perform ultrasound examinations under the supervision of a Radiologist or physician in ambulatory and hospital settings to aid diagnosis.

The role requires delivering high-quality imaging, communicating with patients using AIDET, maintaining safety and infection-control standards, documenting procedures, and collaborating with the imaging team to ensure timely, accurate results

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience.
• BLS certification required; ARRT/ARDMS or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality ultrasound procedures according to exam protocol.
• Instructs and communicates with patients using AIDET; ensures patient comfort and safety.
• Prepares patient and area for procedures; positions patient and adjusts equipment as needed.
• Maintains safety, infection-control, and sterile techniques; adheres to radiation policies.
• Maintains equipment and work area and documents patient history and shielding precautions.
• Ensures proper imaging records and workflows are followed (PACS/EMR context).
