Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures with precision and care.

You will work under radiologists, generate clear images, comply with safety and quality standards, and participate in training and records management. ARDMS certification and an associate's degree are required; vascular experience is preferred. Shifts are primarily days with potential weekends/evenings/holidays.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, six months to one year related experience.
• ARDMS Ultrasound Technologist certification required on hire.
• New graduates must obtain initial ARDMS registry within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate diagnostic ultrasound images as directed by providers and radiologists.
• Initiate proper intervention to radiologist or provider when test indicates immediate attention.
• Review indications for tests with provider and report if indications are inappropriate.
• Provide test data for radiologist interpretation and make hard copy images as directed.
• Maintain department policies, procedures, safety, and infection control.
