Avera is seeking a PRN Ultrasonography Technologist for the Avera Pierre Clinic. The role involves performing ultrasound procedures, assisting physicians, and supporting quality and inventory management. Hours are listed as Day shift, PRN (as needed).

Preferred candidates hold an Associate's Degree in Sonography with RDMS (OB/GYN) certification expected within 1 year. This position emphasizes patient care, accuracy, and teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Sonography or radiology training required.
• RDMS (OB/GYN) certification within 1 year required.

Responsabilités

• Performs ultrasonic diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Explains procedures to patients to assure cooperation and optimum test results.
• Positions patients and operates ultrasound equipment.
• Documents tests and makes hard copies as directed.
• Assists physician in procedures such as amniocentesis.
• Participates in quality assessment and improvement.
• Assists with staff on-the-job training and orientation.
• Monitors inventory of supplies and notifies when stock is low.
