Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in radiologic technology; ARRT eligible or certified.
• ARRT radiography certification required upon hire.
• Knowledge of radiologic/MRI terminology, physiology and anatomy; 1 year min experience preferred.
• MR credential (ARRT) upon hire desired; MRI training/experience 1–3 years.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and adjusts equipment for performing MRI; positions and instructs patients.
• Performs MRI procedures accurately and coordinates daily schedules for efficiency.
• Assists with staff/students' training and MRI classes as needed.
• Maintains records for MRI, QA, Joint Commission, OSHA, and applicable laws.
• Keeps all MRI-related reports and patient/volume/equipment records up to date.
• Provides detailed reports to management as requested.
• Consults with radiologists and physicians on exam details and protocols.
• Monitors IV contrast administration and patient condition during exams.

Education

Associate's or equivalent from a 2 year college or technical school, or hospital based Radiologic Technology Program

Radiography (R) - ARRT Upon Hire

Less than 1 year Thorough knowledge of radiologic and MRI terminology, practices and procedures, physiology and human anatomy

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) - ARRT Upon Hire

1-3 years of training/experience in MRI
