Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Westbrook, Maine. You will operate scanners to produce diagnostic images and provide patient-centered care with excellent service.

This is a temporary/PRN position with variable hours and a DailyPay option. Essential duties include screening patients, preparing and positioning for imaging, performing routine and advanced ultrasound exams, maintaining RIS records, and keeping the work area compliant with

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA- or CAAHEP-accredited sonography program.
• Registered ARDMS in diagnostic medical sonography.
• Licensed sonographer in the appropriate state (if applicable).
• Current CPR certification and ability to work independently.
• Preferred: ACLS certification and bilingual abilities.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients before exams and verify identifiers.
• Explain procedures and position patients for imaging.
• Perform routine and advanced sonography imaging with minimal supervision.
• Maintain accurate patient records in RIS and ensure safety.
• Keep the imaging area organized and comply with accreditation requirements.
• Assist with training new team members as applicable.
