Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Sonographer for a temporary/PRN role. You will operate scanners, image procedures, and support patient comfort while following professional standards. A patient-centered approach is essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Requirements include an AMA-accredited sonography program, ARDMS registration, and current CPR. The position involves varied shifts and opportunities to contribute to a high-quality radiology team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA accredited sonography program or CAAHEP accredited.
• Registered ARDMS sonographer in good standing.
• Sonography certification in imaging specialty (AB, BR, ObGyn, etc.).
• Licensed sonographer in the applicable state (if required).
• CPR certification; able to perform procedures independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound scanners to image designated body areas for diagnosis.
• Prep patients, explain procedures, and maintain patient comfort.
• Adhere to safety regulations and accurate RIS documentation.
• Maintain imaging protocol manuals and assist with software upgrades.
• Assist training of new team members and monitor supplies.
