Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown invites a Ultrasound Tech Student, PRN, to assist with ultrasound imaging under the guidance of experienced technologists. The role includes pelvic, abdominal, small parts and vascular studies, with opportunities for more advanced imaging as needed.

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited ultrasound program (CAAHEP or CMA in Canada acceptable) and have at least one year of study in a qualifying program. BLS certification is required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Student must be enrolled in an accredited ultrasound program (CAAHEP in the US or CMA in Canada).
• Minimum 1 year as a student in an accredited CAAHEP/CMA program.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex ultrasound procedures under supervision.
• Prepares preliminary findings and provides patient care to all age groups (neonatal to geriatrics).
• May perform breast ultrasound, deep Doppler and guided interventional procedures when applicable.
