Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking an Ultrasound Tech on a PRN basis to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and assist with routine invasive procedures. The role requires caring for diverse patient populations including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients while ensuring high-quality ultrasound imaging and accurate communication with radiology staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training or equivalent per IAC.
• Must become ARDMS registered within 6 months; vascular sonographers must obtain RVT/RVS/RT(S)/RT(VS) within 6 months; ARRT (BS) registration acceptable for breast ultrasound licensure.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to standards.
• Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment across all age groups (neonatal to geriatric).
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology; communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.
