Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa, GA seeks an Ultrasound Sonographer PRN with call required to perform ultrasound procedures across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. The role requires completion of a formal Radiologic Technology program in good standing with ARRT and registration as a Radiology Technologist; ultrasound registry is preferred.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure image quality and patient safety.

Qualifications

• ARRT-registered radiologic technologist required.
• Registry in Ultrasound preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs Ultrasound procedures on adult, geriatric, adolescent, pediatric and neonate patients.
• Checks two patient identifiers for proper identification prior to exam.
• Reviews patient record for accuracy and compliance with treatment plan.
• Chooses correct type of transducer for exam.
• Obtains optimum images according to protocol.
• Adjusts gain to obtain those images correctly.
• Verifies images to PACS for Radiologist interpretation.
• Assists physician in performance of minor surgical procedures such as cyst, aspirations and biopsies.
