Job summary

Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa, GA seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist – PRN, Monday–Friday 7am–3:30pm, to administer radioactive material and perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures.

Education: formal Nuclear Medicine program; ARRT/NMTCB; registry eligible or registered.

Duties include patient prep and positioning, dose verification, image acquisition, PACS verification, and adherence to safety standards. Excellent communication with patients is required.

Responsibilities

• Checks patient identifiers and ensures proper identification prior to exam.
• Explains procedure with empathetic interpersonal interaction for stressed patients.
• Transfers and positions patients for exams to achieve radiographic targets as per physician
• Ensures safety standards with immobilization and dose checks.
• Reviews forms and checklists prior to exam and ensures proper documentation.
• Verifies images to PACS with accurate patient and exam information.
