Qualifications

• Must have detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and Doppler techniques to perform independent procedures.
• Must possess patient care and communication skills for diverse age groups.
• Proficient use of computer systems for data entry and retrieval (EMR/PACS).
• Ability to learn radiology software and adapt to departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date licenses and continuing education requirements.
• Ability to perform ultrasound procedures independently with appropriate technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to orders and protocols.
• Acquires and analyzes ultrasound images, ensuring complete studies for radiologist interpretation.
• Verifies patient identity, exam appropriateness, and clinical history prior to procedures.
• Positions patients and operates ultrasound equipment safely, adjusting factors for optimal images.
• Maintains documentation in EMR and PACS and collaborates with radiologists and staff.
