The State of Ohio, Department of Veterans Services, is hiring a PRN Therapeutic Program Worker at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky to provide direct care and daily living support to residents. Flexible intermittent schedule with a minimum of 30 hours per month.

Starting pay is $23.28 per hour. This PRN role may involve weekend shifts and occasional overtime, with benefits including medical coverage and paid time off.

Formación

• Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary.
• In Department of Developmental Disabilities, must also possess a high school diploma or a certificate of high school equivalence.
• Or in positions at Veteran Services in addition to above must possess STNA certification &/or listed on Ohio Nurse Aide Registry.
• For positions that require operation of motor vehicle to transport consumers to recreational, educational &/or occupational activities, a valid drivers license is required.
• -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

Responsabilidades

• Assists with eating, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene, oral hygiene, dressing, grooming, communications, assist with feeding
• Transport and attends activities or programs with residents
• Complete various daily, monthly, and other required documentation
• Observe & report any changes in symptoms, behaviors, accidents, incidents or injuries to charge nurse
• Perform light housekeeping duties in the living areas
• Applies safety & infection control measures
• Assists with redirecting unsafe actions to bring about positive outcomes
• Assist nursing personnel with admission, discharge & transfer of residents
