Qualifications

• Technical School graduate of Surgical Technology or Practical Nursing program required
• Associate Degree in Surgical Technology or Applied Sciences required
• 0-2 years of operating room surgical technician experience required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical cases, ensuring equipment, instruments, and supplies are organized and available using aseptic technique.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs and pass instruments and supplies accurately and efficiently.
• Handle instruments per instructions for use, ensuring proper sterilization, inspection, and assembly.
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts with the circulating nurse for patient safety.
• Assist in patient positioning, draping, and transfer for safe procedures.
