Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Surgical Technologist, you will be an active member of the surgical team in the Operating Room. You will perform tasks under the direct supervision of the OR nurse, ensuring sterile technique and supporting the surgical staff throughout procedures.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages served.
- Promote customer service initiatives.
- Function as scrub person during operative procedures.
- Perform technical skills and procedures as required.
- Assist in intra‑operative patient care by performing technical duties assigned.
- Deliver compassionate, holistic care while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech Program (required).
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (required).
- Surgical technologist students may be hired within 3 months of graduation; successful completion of graduation requirements will be verified.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 25 pounds.
- BLS certification obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
