Job summary

Mercy Health Clermont Hospital is seeking a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist to support the operative team by preparing sterile instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique, and assisting in procedures. This role includes case preparation and room cleanup to maintain efficient surgical flow.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and an Associate Degree or Certification in Surgical Technology (or equivalent, unless assignment is in Ohio Labor and Delivery).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree or Certification in Surgical Technology required, unless Labor and Delivery unit in Ohio is being hired into.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for the procedure.
• Provides complete case preparation with the ability to adapt to special instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
