HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking a Surgical Tech PRN to join our operating room team. The role involves scrubbing and assisting in procedures, aligning with AORN and AST standards, and participating in on-call rotations to support the department.

Qualified candidates are graduates of Surgical Technology programs, hold certification, and have a current BCLS. A minimum of two years of Surgical Technologist experience is preferred.

Formación

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program.
• Certification in Surgical Technology.
• Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• 2+ years of Surgical Technologist experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Plans for and scrubs assigned surgical procedures in accordance with AORN, AST, quality, regulatory, and company standards.
• Participates in on-call rotation based on the need of the department.
• Operates the sterilizer and other patient care equipment according to manufacturer’s instructions after proper training.
• Promotes hospital processes and goals, and communicates issues to appropriate person in the chain of command.
• Performs additional duties such as updating surgeon preference cards, pulling case carts, stocking rooms, turning-over the OR, and assisting with supply inventory.
• Strives for high quality performance and delivers improvements and results.
• Sets and achieves personal goals to advance career-related skills and helps others improve their skills.
• Builds effective relationships across work groups and promotes efficiency and morale.
• Demonstrates accountability in managing hospital resources.
• Delivers high quality customer service following ICARE principles.
