Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our team. You will prepare the surgical suite, scrub procedures, and assist during operations alongside a skilled team using advanced equipment.

Requirements include graduation from a Surgical Technology program, certification, BCLS, and preferred 2+ years of experience. We offer comprehensive benefits, on-site support, and opportunities for growth at a Level II Trauma Center.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Surgical Technology for Surgical Technologist role is required.
• Certification in Surgical Technology.
• Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• 2 or more years of Surgical Technologist experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans for and scrubs assigned surgical procedures in accordance with standards.
• Participates in on-call rotation based on department need.
• Operates sterilizer and patient care equipment per manufacturer instructions after training.
• Promotes hospital processes and communicates issues to the chain of command.
• Takes initiative in updating records, stocking rooms, turning over the OR, and assisting with inventory.
• Quality Improvement: Strives for high quality performance and initiates improvements.
• Personal Achievement: Sets and achieves career-related goals and helps others improve.
• Teamwork: Builds relationships across work groups with courtesy and inclusiveness.
• Resource Management: Demonstrates accountability and prudent use of hospital resources.
