Job summary

Advanced Recovery Systems, LLC in Salem, Oregon, seeks a dedicated PRN Substance Abuse Counselor for The Recovery Village Salem Drug and Alcohol Rehab. The role supports recovery in a safe, compassionate environment with experienced medical and clinical professionals.

You will conduct group therapy, participate in Master Treatment Plans, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate discharge planning and aftercare.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Behavioral Health preferred.
• High School Diploma required.
• 1 year of behavioral health experience preferred.
• State SUD certification preferred if education is equivalent to High School or Bachelor's level.
• CADC I, II, or III preferred; QMHA/QMHP and CADC willingness to obtain.
• CPR-AED and First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and provides daily group therapy to assigned patients following program curriculum.
• Ensures group attendance/compliance with engaging content.
• Uses therapeutic interventions to help patients accomplish treatment goals and complete treatment.
• Assess patient for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders.
• Supports aftercare planning with multidisciplinary team.
• Participates in treatment planning and discharge planning.
