Job summary

Signature Healthcare at Home seeks a PRN Speech Therapist to cover Whidbey Island (Island County) for home health speech therapy services. Monday–Friday day shift with self-directed scheduling and travel to patients’ locations. The role emphasizes autonomy and patient-centered care.

Requires a master’s or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology and WA licensure, plus at least 1 year of clinical experience (home health preferred); valid driver’s license and CPR are expected.

Qualifications

• Must have a master’s or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology and be licensed in the state of practice.
• Must possess and maintain licensure to practice in the state of Washington.
• A minimum of one year’s clinical experience is required; home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for ongoing interdisciplinary assessment and development of the individualized plan of care.
• Provides education, counseling, and refers to other home health services as appropriate.
• Identifies speech defects and establishes a plan of care to improve function.
• Administers speech therapy program using specialized techniques and equipment.
• Communicates with the physician and other health care practitioners about patient progress.
