What you will do in this role:

• Assist patients in recovering and improving their speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities through therapy.
• Communicate patient progress or issues to supervisors and team members; assist with scheduling and post charges to patient records daily.
• Document patient care in compliance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accreditation standards.
• Educate patients' families or nursing staff on follow-up programs.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Perform job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, professional standards, and applicable laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications:

• Graduate of a master’s level program in Speech Language Pathology accredited by the Education Standards Board or meeting ASHA certification requirements.
• Meet the education and experience criteria for ASHA's Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology.
• At least six months of experience working with adult and geriatric populations as a speech therapist or speech-language pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
