Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Speech/Language Pathologist in Scott Depot, West Virginia for a PRN role. The SLP will organize and conduct speech and language programs to facilitate rehabilitation, directing client participation and promoting communication and swallowing skills.

The position reports to the Clinical Manager and requires state licensure eligibility, a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, and eligibility for ASHA CCC or Clinical Fellow status.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed and/or eligible for licensure in the state of practice.
• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related area.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or eligibility for Clinical Fellow.
• Must be able and willing to practice Speech-Language Pathology per state guidelines.
• Must possess good organizational and time management skills.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates clients, develops treatment goals and methods, implements treatment plans and documents services.
• Coordinates acquisition of adaptive communication devices and teaches use.
• Selects activities suited to individual capacity and interest.
• Consults with rehab team to choose appropriate regimen.
• Instructs clients in skills and evaluates progress and attitudes.
• Adapts program to individual needs.
• Attends and contributes to client care meetings.
• Conducts training for staff in speech therapy techniques and objectives.
• Requisitions supplies and equipment as necessary.
• Supervises supportive personnel in accordance with standards.
• Maintains and reports equipment needs.
