Job summary

Mercy Health in Lorain is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a PRN as-needed role. The incumbent will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults, developing treatment plans based on physician referrals.

Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, planning rehab programs, training patients and families, and coordinating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of current practice.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred or required within one year of hire.
• BLS certification preferred or required within 30 days for certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Review physician referrals and patient history to determine therapy needs.
• Perform and document patient evaluations and discharge plans.
• Plan and administer speech language therapy treatments.
• Instruct patients and families to continue therapy at home.
• Coordinate care with treatment team and participate in conferences.
