Job summary

Edgar P. Benjamin Healthcare Center in Boston, MA is seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house therapy team.

The role focuses on evaluating swallowing and cognitive deficits, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering medically necessary speech therapy services to residents. You will provide AAC systems, educate residents and caregivers, and coordinate with the therapy and nursing staff to support resident independence and quality of care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' swallowing or cognitive deficits.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to increase client’s independence and functioning.
• Provide skilled, medically necessary speech and language therapy assessments.
• Provide AAC systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
• Coordinate with other professionals for diagnostic swallowing procedures (MBSS, FEES).
• Demonstrate competent technical skills according to current Speech Therapy standards of practice.
