Job Summary:

The Sonographer uses diagnostic medical equipment to diagnose various conditions. Specializations may include obstetric/gynecologic, abdominal, neurosonography, or breast sonography.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review patient’s medical history and physician’s instructions.
2. Prepare equipment and select appropriate settings.
3. Explain procedures to patients and record relevant medical history.
4. Apply gel and operate ultrasound equipment to capture images.
5. Analyze images and assist in preliminary diagnosis.
6. Maintain patient records and equipment.
7. Follow safety and infection control policies.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
