Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform routine and complex sleep studies, including polysomnography and epilepsy monitoring, during PRN night shifts. The role requires setting up and recording sleep studies and administering CPAP as needed.

Must have at least one year of neurodiagnostic experience, a current BLS certification, and ABRET REEGT registration. Sleep lab credentials (BRPT RPSGT or RRT-SDS) are required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of neurodiagnostic experience including polysomnography or epilepsy monitoring.
• Current BLS certification.
• ABRET EEG Technologist (REEGT) registration.
• BRPT Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) or RRT-SDS for Sleep Lab.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, complex and special Neurodiagnostic procedures as directed.
• Assist physicians with special procedures as needed.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, families and staff.
• Troubleshoot and maintain Neurodiagnostic equipment.
• Follow infection control guidelines and ensure equipment readiness.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and stay current with industry standards.
