Job summary

Reid Health is seeking a Polysomnography Technician to perform sleep diagnostics and therapies, including overnight testing and room turnover. Training and supervision will guide competency toward RPSGT certification.

The role requires adherence to Sleep Disorders Center policies, accurate documentation, and coordination with respiratory staff and physicians. Weekend/holiday shifts may be required, with opportunities to grow within the sleep program.

Qualifications

• One year to become a Registered Polysomnography Technologist after hire.
• 18 months healthcare experience preferred.
• RPSGT certification/registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient needs as part of assessment.
• Establishes care priorities and provides patient care as needed.
• Documents notes reflecting patient response to care.
• Transcribes physician orders and compiles test results for physicians.
• Monitors adherence to Sleep Disorders Center policies and standards.
• Scoring of Home Sleep Studies per AASM guidelines.
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Enter charges for Sleep Studies and access EPIC/baskets daily.
