Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking compassionate and dependable LPNs to provide substitute classroom support for students with medical and personal-care needs. This classroom-based role works with teachers and other school staff to help students participate safely and comfortably throughout the school day.

The ideal candidate holds an unrestricted LPN license, current CPR certification, and experience with disabilities or complex medical needs, including G-tube feeding.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted LPN license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or complex medical needs is preferred.
• Experience with G-tube feeding is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable providing toileting, feeding, mobility, and transfer assistance.
• Compassionate, dependable, patient, and able to work effectively in a classroom environment.
• Must successfully complete all required background checks and health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with feedings, including G-tube feedings and feeding by mouth.
• Provide toileting and personal-care assistance.
• Assist with safe transfers to wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment.
• Support students with activities throughout the school day.
• Follow each student's established care plan and all safety procedures.
• Observe students and promptly communicate health-related concerns to the appropriate school staff.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, nurses, and other members of the school team.
• Maintain each student's dignity, safety, comfort, and privacy.
