Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a PRN RN Specialist in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation to plan, coordinate, and implement therapy for cardiac and pulmonary patients, focusing on preventing readmissions and managing complex conditions.

This role offers pay between $39.00 and $43.00 per hour, based in Akron, OH, with a PRN daytime schedule from 6:45 AM to 6:45 PM, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, dental, vision, and retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
• Two years of nursing experience in coronary care, critical care, and/or med/surg
• Current Ohio RN license; ACLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient's clinical status and provide recommended rehab services as per protocol
• Utilize assessment skills in providing patient care in all phases of cardiac rehabilitation
• Educate patients/families about cardiopulmonary diseases and treatments
• Participate in case management and discharge planning conferences with interdisciplinary staff
• Document patient progress and collaborate with healthcare team members to meet patient needs
• Develop rehabilitative goals to prevent progression of heart and lung disease
• Assist in coordinating patient care and developing new programs and educational materials
• Attend continuing education programs to facilitate professional growth
