Job summary

The RN Specialist in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation at Akron General, part of Cleveland Clinic Health System, plans, coordinates and implements therapy for cardiac and pulmonary patients, with a focus on preventing readmissions and treating complex cardiac conditions.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years of nursing experience in coronary care, critical care and/or med/surg.
• Current Ohio RN license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and implement all aspects of therapy for cardiac and pulmonary patients.
• Provide care across all phases of cardiac rehabilitation.
• Educate patients and families about cardiopulmonary diseases and treatments.
• Participate in case management and discharge planning conferences.
• Document patient progress and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Develop rehabilitative goals to prevent progression of heart and lung disease.
