Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking an RN Specialist to coordinate and implement comprehensive cardiopulmonary rehabilitation for patients with cardiac and pulmonary conditions. You will evaluate clinical status, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to prevent readmissions.

Minimum qualifications include an accredited nursing degree and Ohio RN licensure, with 2 years of relevant nursing experience. ACLS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• Two years of nursing experience in coronary care, critical care and/or med/surg.
• ACLS Certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and implement cardiopulmonary rehabilitation for cardiac and pulmonary patients.
• Evaluate patient status and provide rehab services per protocol.
• Educate patients and families about cardiopulmonary diseases and treatments.
• Participate in discharge planning conferences with interdisciplinary staff.
• Document patient progress and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Develop rehab goals to prevent progression of heart and lung disease.
