Job summary

Qualifications

• RN licensed with current credentials.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications required.
• Experience in surgical services is required for PRN roles.
• Associate Degree in nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Provide patient and family education about the perioperative process
• Prepare patients, IV therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using evidence-based practices
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary surgical team
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and leadership
