Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA seeks an RN Endoscopy PRN to join our surgical team. You will evaluate patients pre-surgery, educate families, and prepare patients with IV therapies and medications.

You will participate in site verification, function within an interdisciplinary team, and deliver evidence-based nursing care with leadership in patient safety and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• Endoscopy experience preferred
• ACLS and BLS certifications within stated timelines
• Associate/Bachelor RN education required or RN Diploma acceptable

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Educate patients and families about peri-operative process
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative meds
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols
• Respond to patient emergencies with high-quality care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and leadership to ensure safe care
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and clinical judgment
• Monitor patient condition and document changes accurately
• Inform patients about treatment plans and follow-up measures

Skills

ACLS within 60 days

Education
