Qualifikationen

• Active RN license required by the state of employment.
• 1+ year of nursing experience in PACU, ICU or Surgery.
• BCLS and ACLS within 30 days of hire; PALS if required.
• Associate or higher nursing degree required.

Aufgaben

• Plan, execute and evaluate nursing care preoperatively and postoperatively until discharge.
• Prepare care area and ensure equipment and supplies are available.
• Conduct physical and psychological assessments and IV therapy as prescribed.
• Administer preoperative medications and monitor patient safety.
• Verify dressings and operative site; report abnormalities to surgeon.
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria.
