Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach, FL, is seeking a PRN RN on the 5N Oncology unit to provide compassionate, high‑quality cancer care during night shifts. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team using state-of-the-art technology to support patients and families through treatment and discharge planning.

The role requires an RN license, BLS, and oncology experience or military RN background, with Chemo/Bio training within two years.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience
• Completion of an ONS Chemo/Bio Course within two years of hire if employed on units where chemo is administered

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
