Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach, FL is seeking a registered nurse for the Clinical Decision Unit. The role provides essential patient care in a collaborative, innovative environment, offering hands-on experience with a diverse patient population.

You will work full-time nights, perform direct nursing care, implement and adjust care plans, document patient status, administer medications, coordinate discharge needs, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• 1+ year of current acute care RN experience or licensed military RN experience.
• Current Florida RN license; BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred (must obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Commitment to patient‑centered care and teamwork in a fast-paced unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
