Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in Florida’s Treasure Coast seeks an experienced RN for the 5N Oncology Unit. You will provide direct nursing care, implement and revise care plans, monitor patient conditions, administer meds, and educate patients and families.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, current RN license, BLS certification, and oncology experience or military RN experience. The shift is days, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience.
• Completion of an ONS Chemo/Bio Course within two years of hire if chemo is administered.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
