Qualifications

• RN with perioperative nursing experience
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• CNOR/Certified First Assistant preferred
• 2–5 years of experience in perioperative care

Responsibilities

• Delivers intraoperative patient care as the first assistant to the surgeon as part of the care team
• Maintains focus on safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in the perioperative setting
• Monitors patient response and adjusts the plan of care accordingly; administers medications per standards
• Participates in professional development and lifelong learning; contributes to team learning
• Educates patients and families and upholds ethical perioperative practice
