Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN)
• Current state RN licensure
• BLS Certification (AHA/Red Cross)
• ACLS within 6 months for areas with moderate sedation or cardiac stress testing
• One year of outpatient RN experience or acceptable substitution within Cleveland Clinic ambulatory setting

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform triage and establish care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
• Notify physician or LIP of abnormal findings.
• Assist with diagnostic procedures and specialized patient care equipment.
• Develop and document health education for patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
