Job summary

This regular PRN position requires a valid RN license, BLS, and outpatient experience, with potential ACLS requirements in select areas. You will provide medications and treatments, initiate CPR when needed, and educate patients

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure and BLS certification.
• ACLS or ALS certification within 6 months for certain areas; outpatient RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
• Notify physician/LIP of abnormal findings.
• Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and equipment.
• Develop and document health education for patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
