Job summary

Avera St Mary's Hospital is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team. You will assess patient conditions, educate families, and collaborate with physicians to implement care plans while adhering to infection-control and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the nursing care plan to the health care team.
• Develop nursing care plans by obtaining histories, examining patients, and documenting status.
• Instruct patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care.
• Evaluate patient care against standards and modify the nursing plan as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient care environment and report concerns.
• Document patient care services in charts and records.
• Keep equipment and supplies in working order and arrange for repairs as needed.
• Demonstrate ongoing professional development and competence.
